Our Mission: Multiplying churches and multiplying disciples by helping people find life, family, freedom, and purpose.
This mission is what drives us. We believe every person has a God-given purpose waiting to be discovered. That's why we're passionate about creating a place where authentic faith changes everything.
Prayer is at the center of all we do—the foundation upon which everything else is built. Through this constant connection to God, powerful worship, practical Biblical teaching, and genuine community, we help people wake up to the greater story God has for their lives.
The Journey That Shaped Us
What began in 1958 with 32 people in a movie theater has grown into a thriving community. Founding Pastor Tom Whidden responded at a revival service at Southeastern Bible College to the call of God to plant a church in Concord. His vision was to reach Cabarrus County with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The church grew to over one thousand people, took on three building projects, as well as established a Daycare and K—12 Christian School.
Under the leadership of Pastors Rick and Susan Ross (2003–2016), the church grew numerically, spiritually, and geographically, expanding its reach and outreach through the development of 250,000 square feet at The Village Shopping Center into ministry space for our church and community.
Today, under the leadership of Senior Pastor Dr. Douglas Witherup, that vision has expanded beyond what anyone could have imagined. From one church to a family of ten churches across three continents, God's faithfulness has been evident at every step. The Cabarrus Dream Center has been established, serving our community's practical needs, and Southeastern University Carolina offers accredited higher education right on our campus.
Our state-of-the-art facility serves as a home where people of all ages can encounter God, discover their calling, and be equipped to make a difference in their world.

Dr. Douglas Witherup
Senior Pastor
Dr. Doug Witherup leads with a passion for communicating God's Word creatively and equipping people to live out their purpose. With extensive experience in ministry and education, including roles as an adjunct professor at Southeastern University and Trinity Bible College and Graduate School, Doug brings depth and practical wisdom to his leadership. Doug has a B.A. from Southeastern University, an MTh. from the University of Wales, Bangor, and a DMin. from George Fox University. He’s an author and featured speaker at churches, conferences, camps, and leadership events. When he's not teaching or leading, you'll find him spending time with his wife Camden, and their children, Cade and Ana, or possibly training for his next Spartan race.
The Family We’re a Part Of
Multiply Concord is a part of The Multiply Family of Churches, an innovative Family of Churches model (“One Family, Many Churches”) currently made up of ten churches across three continents. Often described as a “third wave” of church planting, it is both highly autonomous and highly collaborative. The Multiply Family was birthed out of a prophetic call to become a ‘renewed Antioch’, whose mission is simple and bold:
